DoomZ Destruction — Power Evaluation
Final Score: 41 ± 8 · Confidence: Medium
- Intrinsic: 42 · Deck: 40 · Meta: provisional
- Primary role: Recovery/Recursion · Secondary: Extender, Floodgate/Control
Why it scores here
The card's value is conditional: it needs a face-up DoomZ Xyz Monster to target, and its recovery effect only triggers after it is destroyed by a card effect, so it converts into a free DoomZ body from the Deck rather than into card advantage. The observed boards are weak (2 combos, average power index 7.5, one scoring 0, no starter/searched/material/payoff tags), and the 400-of-400 deck presence is a property of the sample, not evidence of strength, so it earns almost nothing for popularity. The opponent search lock adds a modest soft-interaction value while equipped, but the archetype lock caps the score.
Axis scores
| Axis | Score | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Accessibility | 45 | Live only when a DoomZ Xyz is already on the field, and the combo sample shows no starter or searched appearances (observed, inferred). |
| Combo & Conversion | 25 | Two recorded boards with power indices 15 and 0, both with netCardAdvantage 0 and no end-board pieces (observed). |
| Resource Economy | 40 | Destruction trigger adds one DoomZ monster from the Deck to the field for no hand cost, but no draw, search or net advantage appears in the examples (verified, observed). |
| Effect & Interaction | 50 | Blocks opponent Main Deck-to-hand searches except draws while equipped; this is a soft floodgate with no direct removal (verified). |
| Material Utility | 20 | As an equip-style card it is not a monster material; the guide snippet about equip spells becoming Xyz material refers to a different monster effect (speculation, not scored beyond a low floor). |
| Resilience & Flexibility | 55 | The destruction-triggered recovery gives a second use per turn, but each effect is once per turn and the card depends on a DoomZ Xyz staying on the field (verified, inferred). |
| Deck-Building Efficiency | 40 | One copy in the sample (2 decks run 2), but it is archetype-locked and occupies a DoomZ-only slot, so it is not a free roll outside DoomZ (verified, observed). |
Calculation
Weight profile: 0.7 Recovery/Recursion + 0.3 Extender. Intrinsic ≈ 42, Deck ≈ 40, Meta = provisional. Modifiers: Archetype-locked restriction (-3). Final formula: 0.40*Intrinsic + 0.60*Deck
Strengths
- Recovers a DoomZ monster from the Deck when destroyed by a card effect, giving a second use after removal
- Stops opponent Main Deck-to-hand searches while equipped
- Runs in every sampled DoomZ deck, which shows the archetype treats it as a core slot
Weaknesses
- Needs a face-up DoomZ Xyz Monster as its equip target
- Combo evidence is thin (2 boards) and shows low conversion (average power index 7.5)
- Gives no card advantage or draw; the recovery body is only a deck-to-field swap
- Not a material body, so it adds little beyond the DoomZ engine
Counters / choke points
- Destroying or removing the equipped DoomZ Xyz Monster before the equip is useful
- Removing or negating the equip spell on the field
- Opponent search effects that are not blocked by the equip lock (for example, the opponent's own draws)
Best use
Recovery/Recursion piece that refills the DoomZ board after the equipped Xyz is destroyed, with a search-lock side effect. Decks: DoomZ, DoomZ (Xyz engine builds). Suggested copies: 1.
Evidence & gaps
- Verified: Card text: target must be a face-up DoomZ Xyz Monster you control; Card text: opponent cannot add cards from Main Deck to hand except by drawing while equipped; Card text: if destroyed by card effect, equip 1 DoomZ monster from Deck to a face-up monster; each effect once per turn; decks_evidence: 400 of 400 sampled decks run it, copies average 1 (2 decks run 2)
- Observed: combos_evidence: appears in 2 of 2 recorded boards, with power indices 15 and 0; combos_evidence: as_starter, as_searched, as_material and as_payoff all 0; usage_statistics: 100% inclusion in 6 of 7 listed archetypes, 69.6% in DoomZ gameplay 7
- Inferred: The destruction effect functions as a Deck-to-field recovery of one DoomZ body; Recovery is the card's main value; search lock is secondary
- Data gaps: Evidence type field reads 'Trap Card' (frame 'trap') but the card text is an equip effect; type is unverified and was not used for scoring No banlist token; assumed 3 copies (unlimited) decks_evidence is conditioned on the card (400 of 400 decks run it), so deck presence cannot measure inclusion or power Combo sample is only 2 boards; role tags are empty usage_statistics shows 100% inclusion in non-DoomZ archetypes (Mannadium, Zoodiac, Mikanko), which is implausible and suggests small or mislabeled rows Activation location for the destruction effect is not stated in the text No rulings or top-card rankings available
